Campolieti Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore

The name Campolieti means “Happy Field” and refers to the vineyards from which this excellent wine is produced, and also to the joyous reaction of the many loyal Luigi Righetti customers upon their first taste.

Production

The grapes are carefully picked during the harvest in September and undergo a temperature-controlled fermentation for 8/10 days. In January/February the wine undergoes the _Ripasso_ Method, on the skins used to make the Amarone.

Aroma & Flavor

Black-cherry nose with a raisin-like complex of scents. Deep flavor, round tastes punctuated by a slightly bitter hint, delivered with a graceful lightness.

Pairings

Pairs well with steak or pork roasts, hearty pastas, risotto with mushrooms, and seasonal hard cheeses.
